  1. Changes and enhancements in WinZip 2.00 include:

  3. - Double clicking on a file now has the same effect as double clicking
  4.   in the File Manager.  If the file is executable, it is run.
  5.   Otherwise, the file is opened by the appropriate application for
  6.   viewing.
  7.  
  8. - Added facility to extract all files in a ZIP to a temporary directory
  9.   and create a Program Manager group for all files in the ZIP.  This
  10.   group contains one icon for each file.  When WinZip is closed, it
  11.   optionally deletes the Group.
  12.  
  13. - Added support for ARC files.
  14.  
  15. - Added support for self-extracting ZIP files (ZIP2EXE).
  16.  
  17. - Added optional interface to Virus Scan software.
  18.  
  19. - Added Program Locations dialog box to let you specify paths and filenames
  20.   of external programs.
  21.  
  22. - Added option to delete an entire ZIP in the Delete dialog box.
  23.  
  24. - Added separate sorted list boxes for filenames and directories in the
  25.   Open dialog box.
  26.  
  27. - Added list box containing directories in the New dialog box.
  28.  
  29. - Added a "default current directory" configuration option (see the
  30.   first item in the Hints and Tips section in the online documentation
  31.   for a description of why this can be useful).

  33. - Added keyboard mnemonics for controls in all dialog boxes.

  35. - Moved push buttons to a button bar on top of the main window, and
  36.   added the New, Open, and CheckOut buttons

  38. - Temporary files are cleaned up sooner.
